About Anna

My name is Anna Huntsman, and I’m an award-winning multimedia journalist. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Journalism from Kent State University.IMG_5405

I’m a tenacious reporter and passionate leader. I love adapting stories across digital, audio and video platforms.
I’m currently seeking a position as a public media reporter. I just completed a fellowship for News21, a national investigative program based at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in Phoenix, Arizona. My reporting has been published in The New York TimesWashington Post and Associated Press, in addition to other national outlets. You can listen, read and watch my reporting from this project down below.
In college, I interned at three different news organizations. I reported for WKSU 89.7 FM, the NPR station in Kent, Ohio, helped run the assignment desk at WKYC Channel 3 News, Cleveland’s NBC affiliate and produced stories for the Ohio News Connection, the Public News Service branch in Ohio.
I’m most passionate about public policy reporting. I’ve been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence Awards two years in a row, winning in-depth and breaking news categories.
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to podcasts, trying new recipes and getting lost in good books — my current favorite genre being mystery thrillers.
